Last week I tried making Peppermint bark, but something bizarre happened to the melted chocolate when I tried mixing in peppermint syrup (the kind you see in coffee shops). It turned into powder:

I think adding the peppermint syrup did it. This time I left it out and added a layer of peppermint candy between the milk and white chocolate for extra minty-ness.

Then I poured in the white chocolate and added the top layer of candy and let it cool:
Success!
