Some photos from the Rathaus (Town Hall) Christmas Market in Hamburg! It was very crowded here, but we were still able to get some crepes and watch Santa make an appearance (even Santa sounds evil when he's speaking in German with his voice booming over loud speakers). The next night I went to the Market at Ganzemarkt and drank tasty Gluhwein (hot, mulled wine). Here are some photos from the Rathaus:

Santa and his reindeer flew overhead, (Santa was a real person, the Reindeer were not. Probably just as well). I didn't catch a photo of it, but a few sparkler/small fireworks out of the back of the sleigh gave him an extra boost of speed! Then everyone sang along to Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, with a couple even swing dancing to it!
