After visiting
Amarapur and
Chobar Gorge, we headed to Kirtipur, another small town just outside of Kathmandu in The Antique:

Unfortunately I wasn't able to catch the story behind the sword in the photo on the right, with the little girl standing behind it. I should mention that the pink stuff on the alters is animal blood.
There was a procession around one of the temples with music and a Very Unlucky Goat. We left before we found out exactly what its fate was.
The view was excellent:
