Blue Harbour Hamburg

Every two years in August, Hamburg Harbour comes alive in fireworks and blue lights. From what my co-workers told me, the tradition first started when an artist first lit up the harbour as a work of art, and it was so popular the tradition has been repeated ever since. So in other words, no one really know why, but they like it anyway. 

Above, the Elbe Philharmonic, it's still under construction. I took these photos last year, with my little point and shoot camera, so some are kind of noisy.
